Dr. Vishal Sharma
Vishal is the Director at Seville Medical. He has had the privilege of working with some of the best medical specialists in the world during his medical training in the United Kingdom. He specialised as a General Practitioner in 2008 and acquired a wealth of experience working in General Practice and after hours service in South West England and then Australia. After becoming a General Practitioner, Vishal completed his MBA in 2012 from Warwick University in the United Kingdom. His dissertation on improving patient access in General Practice in National Health Service (NHS) in United Kingdom gave him deeper insights into how to bring the medical services to the public. He moved to Australia in early 2013. He is a vocationally registered GP and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
He always had a dream of offering quality medical service to his patients without the corporate red tape. He takes the concerns of his patients very seriously and thoroughly relishes the challenge of complex medical problems. He firmly believes in evidence-based medicine. He enjoys all aspects of General Practice especially chronic disease management and men’s health. Vishal enjoys travelling, cricket, soccer, cycling and most of all he thoroughly enjoys the superb coffee Melbourne has to offer.
Vishal consults from Monday through to Friday.
Dr Navid Afsharipour
Dr Afsharipour has more than 10 years’ experience as a GP, the last 6 years being in metropolitan and rural Australia. Navid is proudly Australian and his background is Persian. Navid is registered with a Medical Doctorate and has a General and Specialist Registration with the Australian Medical Council (AMC) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (Fellowship of RACGP). He is very passionate about general practice and believes a good relationship and communication between doctor and patient, is the key factor for the best outcome of each consultation. Navid is very enthusiastic about cosmetics (aesthetics), women’s health, paediatrics and skin diseases. He also has a great knowledge of mental health and broad working knowledge in emergency medicine. Navid enjoys seeing a wide variety of patients and enjoys using his knowledge and experience to enable the best possible outcome for each patient. Navid can facilitate consultation for those patients who speak Farsi (Persian) using their own language.
Navid enjoys listening to music and plays Bass guitar in his spare time. He also enjoys cycling on a regular basis and getting together with family and friends on weekends.
Dr Afsharipour consults from Monday through to Friday.
Dr Aram Sehat
Dr Sehat has graduated from Tehran University in 2010. She is a fellow of Royal Australian College of general practitioners. She has a keen interest in dermatology. Aram holds diploma of dermatology with the Australian institute of dermatology and is passionate about performing skin procedures. She also enjoys Children’s Health, Women’s Health and Mental Health.
She chose to pursue General Practice because she really enjoys the diversity of patients and medical problems encountered in her day to day practice as well as revelling in the challenges of diagnosing whatever problems patients walk in the door with. She feels she gets the opportunity to use all the knowledge and experience gained not only at medical school but also throughout the past career, Aram enjoys travelling, walking and cycling.
Dr Mehdi Fazlian
Dr Mehdi Fazlian is a GP with 14 years experience, who enjoys all aspects of medicine, but has a particular interest in Needle and Laser Acupuncture, Skin Cancer, Women’s Health, Paediatrics, Chronic Disease Management and Minor Surgeries.
Dr Aida Karimpour
Dr Aida Karimpour is an experienced GP who enjoys all aspects of medicine, but has a particular interest in Skin Cancer, Women’s Health, Paediatrics, Chronic Disease Management and Minor Surgeries.
Dr Sima Torabian
Dr Sima Torabian is GP with 12 years experience who enjoys all aspects of medicine, but has a particular interest in Skin Cancer, Women’s Health, Paediatrics, Chronic Disease Management and Minor Surgeries.
Sharnie is the Practice Manager at Seville Medical Centre. Sharnie has extensive nursing experience and has been working as a Practice Nurse for the past 9 years. Sharnie has a special interest in adolescent/family health and her community. She has spent 5 years in the CFA.
Sharnie is a mother of 3 and enjoys spending time with her family.
She is excited to be part of the team at Seville Medical and is dedicated to ensuring that the best possible medical care and attention is delivered to all of our patients.

Jenny is the Practice Nurse at Seville Medical Centre. Jenny has extensive nursing experience in surgical, medical and emergency departments in major hospitals and has been working as a Practice Nurse for the past 3 years. Jenny is passionate about health and wellbeing and has a special interest in holistic health.
Jenny is a mother of 2 and enjoys spending time with her family, camping and practising meditation and yoga.
She is excited to be part of the team at Seville Medical and the broader Yarra Valley community; inspired by the beauty and diversity of the land and people, Jenny is dedicated to ensuring that the best possible medical care and attention is delivered to all of our patients.
Renae has been a Practice Nurse for 6 years and also works as a District Nurse. She enjoys all aspects of nursing especially wound care and paediatric nursing. She has a lot of experience administering immunisations and loves working with children. She has 3 children and enjoys going camping and spending time with her family on weekends.
Lisa is our newest team member and brings 37 years of nursing experience with her. She has a compassionate heart and loves people. A mother of two, she has recently become a grandmother.
She loves camping, playing golf and hiking with her rescue greyhound.
Marika is a Clinical Social Worker/Psychotherapist, Child and Family Therapist (BSW (AASW), Grad Dip CYFMH, Grad Dip FT and CCPT).
Since 2003 Marika has provided counselling to people of all ages with presenting difficulties, not limited to depression, anxiety, grief, trauma and relationship difficulties. Decisions about
appropriate and effective therapeutic procedures are based on her experienced clinical judgment and evidenced based therapeutic modalities. Marika’s favoured therapeutic approaches include Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Family Systems Therapy.
As a trained Family Therapist Marika values facilitating families or couples to strengthen their interactional patterns and behaviours to enhance understanding and connectedness.
As a Play Therapist Marika works with children (age 2-10). She strives to work holistically to include their parents and family in the healing process and is a strong advocate for child/parent (Filial) Therapy to improve the quality of attachment. Marika works with children impacted by life events such as parental separation/divorce, peer/social issues, bullying, anxiety, mood and anger related issues and grief and loss that can lead to a wide range of emotional, developmental and behavioral difficulties.
Marika is eligible for Medicare rebates.
Bachelor of Social Science with Distinction, Honour (first class) and Master in Psychology (clinical).
Since 2006 Julia has worked within the Government and General Practice setting as a psychologist providing diagnostic assessments and biopsychosocial assessments. Julia also provides assessments of mental health and cognitive function in remote Australia (Arnhem Land, Torres Strait Islands, and Kimberley’s).
Julia has experience and special interest in Diagnostic assessments for mental health. Counselling for Adults, Teenagers and Indigenous mental health
Julia’s therapeutic approaches include:
EMDR Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy ( CBT) for Mood Disorders and Anxiety Disorders , Stress and Grief, Adjustment Disorder, Low self-esteem, CBT for Trauma, Mentalization Therapy for personality disorders and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
Please welcome our new Podiatrist Lahni! Lahni is born and raised a Seville local, so knows the area and the needs of locals better than anyone.
Lahni graduated from La Trobe University with a bachelor of Health Science & Master of Podiatric Practice Lahni enjoys all aspects of Podiatry, with a particular interest in helping patients with diabetes and lower limb sporting injuries. She has a passion for helping others achieve their goals.
She also had the pleasure of practicing at National University Hospital in Singapore, seeing patients of all ages with general and high risk foot conditions. She has extensive knowledge of current footwear for sport and causal use after working at Active Feet (a speciality running shoe store). She enjoys traveling and playing netball in her spare time.
Rachel is an accredited dietitian who will now be part of the team at Seville Medical Centre
Rachel graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Food and Nutrition Sciences (Honours) and Master of Dietetics
Rachel has a passion for helping people of all ages to achieve their nutritional goals, maintaining a balanced lifestyle and optimise health via individualised, realistic and practical nutritional advice.
She was recently part of the Premiership winning Chirnside Park Women’s team.
We are delighted to have Lynn as part of our great team at Seville Medical Centre. Lynn will ensure you receive a warm welcome and is happy to assist you wherever possible. When Lynn is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her delightful grandson.
We are delighted to welcome Lara as part of our team at Seville Medical Centre. Lara lives in the Yarra Valley with her husband. She enjoys the outdoors, hiking, gardening and reading in her spare time.
We are excited to welcome Doris as part of the team at Seville Medical Centre. Doris has worked as a medical receptionist for a number of years in the Yarra Valley. When Doris is not working, she enjoys spending time with family, playing tennis and rock n roll dancing.
Bridie looks forward to welcoming every patient with a warm smile and friendly assistance. In her spare time Bridie enjoys yoga, long walks in the Yarra Valley, beach days and family time with her fiance and young son.
